This Privacy Policy explains how Gorma & Friends (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Pet BG Health mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect

  • App data you enter: pet profile (name, photo, species), logs (e.g., blood glucose, insulin, weight, water intake), and settings you choose.
  • Device & diagnostics: device model, OS version, basic performance/error logs.
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA): collected only if you grant permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If permission is denied, only non-personalized ads are shown.
  • Purchase status: subscription entitlement (e.g., “Remove Ads”) to enable or disable advertising.

3. How we use your information

  • To operate the App and show your pet data appropriately.
  • To provide optional iCloud backup/restore of your app data (see Section 5).
  • To display ads and measure their performance (see Section 4).
  • To process in-app subscriptions that remove ads (via Apple’s StoreKit).
  • To keep the App secure, fix bugs, and improve features.

4. Advertising, consent, and tracking

The App uses Google’s advertising services (AdMob) and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent. We request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) before collecting any data that could be used to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. If you deny tracking, the App will only serve non-personalized ads.

5. iCloud backup & restore (optional)

If you enable backup/restore, your App data is stored in your personal Apple iCloud account. We do not access your iCloud data; it is synced between your devices by Apple’s iCloud service under Apple’s privacy and security controls. 6. Subscriptions (Remove Ads)

The App offers an auto-renewing monthly subscription to remove advertisements. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase. No payment information is processed by us; all transactions are handled by Apple.

7. Data storage and retention

  • On-device: Your pet records and settings are stored on your device. If you delete the App, on-device data is removed.
  • iCloud (optional): If enabled, your data is stored in your Apple iCloud until you delete it or disable iCloud for the App.
  • Advertising: Ad-related data is managed by Google according to their policies linked above.

8. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Apple (iCloud, StoreKit) to provide backup/restore and purchases.
  • Google (AdMob/UMP) to serve ads and manage consent.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location (including the UK and EU), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain uses of your personal data. To make a request, contact us at info@gormaandfriends.com.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for adults (pet owners). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under the applicable age of consent in your region).

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
